In 2008 we attended the Big Chip Awards to receive our ‘Best from Cumbria’ award for our website for The Cumbria Network.

The website was developed with Hydrant Design, then based in Carlisle, and won for its innovative ground breaking pre-facebook collaborative approach to bring rural arts and creative industries together remotely.

The Cumbria Network was founded in 2004 as a regional networking organisation for artists to raise the bar, access resources, promote work and create professional development opportunities.

Based on the Network’s success Kate was invited to 11 Downing St for a breakfast meeting with Tessa Jowell to input on the nation’s creative industries.
