Pillow is a visual critique of a traumatic experience, using drawings made immediately afterwards to try and describe the unjust nature of the context and mental damage it sparked.
Following emotional turmoil and violation of this incident, Pillow is a comment about the ridicule of a moment in time, the realisation of untruth in a system we are culturally programmed to trust, and the legacy of nightmares left – embedded into the fabric of the material – as mental residue that later was labelled as PTSD.
